Texas Bay is pleased to announce our five 2023 scholarship winners. Each will receive $2,500 towards their Fall 2023 Semester expenses.
Chase Mobley
Chase is graduating from Clear Falls High School in Clear Creek ISD. He is a member of the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society. He is a very hard worker, impressing his teachers with his ability to manage demanding course work, part-time work, and extracurricular activities; and do so with a smile on his face. He has been accepted to Texas State University to study Mass Communications.
Jadia Saquibal (Manakalani)
Jadia is headed to the University of Texas at Austin to study Radio/TV/Film. She is graduating from Bridgeland High School in the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. She started acting at the age of 5 and took up cinematography at 15. She loves every aspect of it - lighting, sound, working the camera, directing, producing, and - of course - acting. Her audio production teacher says, "She has impressive on and off-camera talents, which is rare to find in a student."
Rhayla Candler
Rhayla's general psychology teacher says "Rhayla's personal strengths are as impressive as her intellectual accomplishments. Her knowledge of psychology is advanced, as she studies literature and topics outside of our curriculum." She is graduating from CE King High School in Sheldon ISD. She has been accepted to Pace University out of New York to achieve her Master's Degree in Psychology.
Vivian Garcia
Vivian is heading for the University of Texas at Austin to major in Finance, following her aunt to become a Financial Advisor. She especially wants to help women in need build a better financial future for themselves and their families. She is graduating from Kingwood Park High School in Humble ISD. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Science Natural Honor Society, and English National Honor Society.
Yash Chauhan
Yash will graduate from Crosby High School in Crosby ISD. He has been accepted at the University of Texas at Austin to major in Computer Science. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the Science Honor Society, and the National Honor Society. His school counselor describes Yash as "Extremely focused and hard-working." Yash has been taking college courses during his Junior and Senior years, at least 12 hours per semester.
