Plan for the Unexpected Moments
Life happens, and sometimes that means you're short on funds. With Courtesy Pay, you have an added layer of security so you're covered when you overdraft your account. Want even more protection? With Extended Coverage, we'll also cover overdrafts on your ATM and everyday debit card transactions.
What is an Overdraft?
An overdraft occurs when more money than you have available in your account is withdrawn, causing a negative balance.
What is Courtesy Pay?
Courtesy Pay provides discretionary overdraft protection when you don't have sufficient funds in your account to cover a transaction. With Courtesy Pay, we will strive to cover the cost of your reasonable overdrafts caused by checks, pre-authorized ACH payments, electronic transfers, returned items for payment, and automatic bill payments so your transactions go through until you're able to bring your account into a positive balance.
How it Works
If you are 18 years old or older, you are automatically enrolled in Courtesy Pay when you open a checking account. Minors are not eligible for Courtesy Pay services.
- If you have other overdraft arrangements, such as a savings account overdraft or overdraft line of credit, they will be used before Courtesy Pay
- A fee is charged per item covered (See our Fee Schedule)
- The overdraft balance must be paid within 30 days of the date of the overdraft.
What is Extended Coverage?
Extended Coverage is an additional layer of protection on top of Courtesy Pay. With Extended Coverage, we will strive tocover your reasonable overdrafts caused by ATM transactions and everyday debit card transactions at our discretion.
Eligibility
You are eligible to enroll in Extended Coverage so long as:
- You are 18 years old or older,
- Your account is in good standing,
